Issues of Manhood in Black and White: An Incisive Look into Masculinity and the Societal Definition of Afrikan examines the complexity of male identity and development in continental Afrika crucial to Black men, women and families in the Diaspora. This text we partner with Understanding Black Adolescent Male Violence which we contend is rooted in historical and contemporary White-on-Black violence. It points out how the adolescent crises of black males interact with the pervasive false consciousness induced in the collective psyche of the Afrikan community by White-on-Black violence. It provides practical, remedial and preventative approaches.
